Chianti wine tasting in the vineyard with glasses, pecorino cheese and bread

Tasting in the vineyard

Our rows of Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Colorino produce a Chianti that doesn't try to impress — it tells the story of the soil, the vintage, the exposure. You will taste it exactly where it grows, alongside 12-month aged pecorino from Pienza and a drizzle of our extra virgin olive oil.

The tasting lasts as long as you want it to. We don't have a timer and there is no schedule to keep.

When: on request, preferably late afternoon
Duration: about 90 minutes

Making fresh handmade pasta in the farmhouse kitchen

Cooking in the farmhouse

Hand-rolled pici, pappa al pomodoro with stale bread, almond cantucci kneaded in the morning. This isn't a class with aprons and printed instructions — it's an afternoon in our kitchen, hands in the flour, the sauce simmering on the wood-fired stove.

We cook together and eat together. The house wine is included, the grandmother is not — but her recipes definitely are.

When: Wednesday and Saturday afternoons (or on request)
Duration: 3-4 hours, lunch or dinner included

Path through olive groves and vineyards in the Chianti hills

Walks through olives and vines

Three paths leave from the property, winding through the olive groves and down into the valley. The longest leads to the Romanesque church of San Cresci (a 45-minute walk, gentle slopes). You don't need hiking boots — just the desire to walk.

We'll give you a hand-drawn map and, if you like, tell you what you'll see along the way: the holm oak wood, the old spring, the dry-stone walls that have divided estates for four centuries.

When: every day, self-guided
Distances: 30 minutes to 2 hours
Difficulty: easy, dirt tracks
